How to make your hoodies your own

If you\’re having a collection of hoodies made, why don\’t you go a stage further and make each individual garment unique to its wearer? Personalized hoodies offer the twin benefits of letting each wearer express their own identity whilst showing their affiliation to their school, varsity, team, club or group simultaneously.

These are some of the most well liked ways that you can personalise your custom hoodies:

Names or nicknames

Have the wearer\’s name embroidered or printed on the hoodie. You might include first names, full names or nicknames, or offer a choice dependent on each person\’s preferences. For a subtle approach, we suggest embroidering the names opposite your organisation\’s crest or emblem, customarily on the right side of the chest as the garment is worn. Or if you\’d prefer to make a bolder statement, select printed hoodies with the name appearing on the back or down the sleeve.

Numbers, positions etc

A preferred choice for sports groups is to print each person\’s team number on the back of the hoodie. This could appear below their name or nickname, or you might include the name of the position played, such as \’Goalie\’ or \’Scrum half \’ together with or rather than the name. Including roles and positions like \’Treasurer\’ or \’President\’ also works nicely with hoodies designed for clubs, societies and halls of residence. If you prefer, you may have this info included on the sleeve of the hoodies rather than on the back.

What\’s next?

When you have decided the best way to personalise your hoodies, it\’s time to think about fonts and colours. Printed hoodies are available in a wide variety of font styles and in all colours of the rainbow, including neon shades and metallic. For embroidered hoodies, select a contrasting thread colour that stands out well from the primary hoodie colour, to be sure the text is clear and easy to read.
