Alcohol based mouthwashes are truly good in helping to keep your toes and feet clean and healthy. After showering, soak a cotton ball with an alcohol based mouthwash and pat it between your toes and over the soles of your feet. The alcohol will kill any bacteria that could be working to start a fungal infection.


One of baking soda\’s common uses is the cleaning of teeth. It is great as an at-home tooth whitener and is good for an oral scrub. However, did you know that baking soda can be used to treat a bunch of skin conditions like sunburns also? Baking soda has been found to have a neutralizing effect on skin pH levels. For the most relief, pour one cup of baking soda into your bath water until it is totally dissolved and then try to soak in the water for 30 minutes or so.


You are already aware that aloe vera works really well for treating skin burns. Also, it works as a skin soother and can ease the pain as a result of burns both mild and severe. However, did you know that aloe vera can help heal canker sores also? The same properties in aloe vera that help soothe your skin help cure canker sores. Research has found that individuals who treat canker sores with aloe vera heal as much as 50% faster than people who use ordinary canker sore cures.


These are only some of the unconventional ways you can use conventional remedies. Instead of running out for the latest trend in OTC treatments for your ailment, why not try something you have on hand?
